We are looking for a Proposal Engineer to join a global technology leader in Lisbon, Portugal!

This position focuses on translating customer requirements into high-quality fire safety technical solutions and ensuring seamless coordination from proposal through project handover. What will you do?

  • Translate customer requirements into technical fire safety solutions using high-quality systems.
  • Design and quote for fire alarm and evacuation system installations, upgrades, and expansions in complex facilities like hospitals, hotels, and industrial sites.
  • Analyze technical feasibility of security solutions and collaborate with sales and execution teams to complete proposals.
  • Seek innovative alternatives in non-standard cases in consultation with product managers.
  • Collaborate with account managers and financial admins to create comprehensive proposals.
  • Ensure accurate handover of approved projects to Project Managers and Software Engineers.

Candidate profile

  • MBO diploma minimum, with HBO working/thinking level in electrical or electronic engineering preferred.
  • Experience in fire safety or security installations; certifications like BMI, OAI, or VOL VCA are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems; familiarity with extinguishing systems, ASD, or linear temperature detection is beneficial.
  • Proficient in English (Dutch is a plus) ; capable with MS Word, Excel, Visio, and basic network/software tools. 
  • Strong ownership, analytical and conceptual thinking, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure with a collaborative mindset.
