In Athens, the winter hardly has temperatures below zero (normally in between 10-20 degrees). Expats who work in Athens will find themselves in a city with a rich history dating back thousands of years. It is considered one of the most important cities in the foundation of Western civilization. The Parthenon, which watches over Athens from the Acropolis, still stands as a reminder of this history, and many modern places in the cities make a contrast with the empire of old.
