Job Description: The Finance & Accounting (F&A) Team Leader will manage and oversee daily operations within our Shared Services Centre / Finance function. This role involves supervising a team of finance professionals across Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR/O2C), and/or Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. The Team Leader will also drive process improvements, people's development, and act as a key point of contact for stakeholders. 
 
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of F&A specialists, ensuring daily tasks are delivered within agreed SLAs/KPIs.
• Oversee end-to-end F&A operations including AP, AR/O2C, R2R, and General Ledger activities (depending on team assignment).
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoice processing, payments, collections, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
• Manage escalations, resolve complex queries, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on team performance against defined KPIs and service standards.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS / local GAAP, SOX, audit, and company policies.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities with accurate reporting.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and best practices to enhance efficiency.
• Partner with HR/Training to develop team skills and support career progression.
• Act as deputy to the Finance Operations Manager when required.
 
Candidate Profile
 
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business.
 
• Master’s degree (MBA / CA / CMA) preferred.
 
• 5-7 years of F&A experience in SSC/GBS or corporate finance.
 
• At least 2–3 years in a team leader/supervisory role.
 
• Experience with multi-country, multi-currency operations is an advantage.
 
• In-depth knowledge of F&A processes (AP, AR, R2R, GL) in a Shared Services/GBS environment.
 
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or similar).
 
• Advanced MS Excel and familiarity with BI/reporting tools.
 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 
• Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
 
• Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under pressure.
 
• Fluency in English.
