Keep calm and continue applying

We have lost track of how many weeks the lockdown has been going on, but what we have noticed is how not being in the office – or worse, not having a job at all – impacts mental health.

For many people, working is seen as a necessity to pay the bills. However, now that we are all locked inside and unable to travel to work every day, we are starting to notice the social aspect that is tied to a job. Indeed, we spend most of our waking time at work and therefor often spend more time with co-workers than with family and friends. In addition, having a job provides us with an identity and gives us a purpose in life.

We know the situation is tough and many companies have stopped hiring, but there are still some jobs to be had! In fact, Multilingual Jobs Worldwide has helped several candidates start a new job since the lockdown has started. Some companies offer working from home schemes, allowing you to be in a professional working relationship regardless.

Be open-minded. You may have had a set destination in mind, but working abroad in a country you have never thought of might be where you find happiness after all. So be sure to explore all options.

If you are unsure which jobs are open, please feel free to drop elisabeth@multilingualjobsworldwide.com an email to discuss your options.

Until then, stay safe!
