City Guide in Lisbon

Lisbon is the trendiest hotpost in Europe right now .  The capital has recently been gaining popularity on social media, it t’s a great destination to add to any European itinerary, and can easily be explored in 3 /4 days . Let’s talk about the must things to do:

1. Baixa

Baixa is the most central and renowned neighbourhood. There are so many things to see! You can first start by the Avenida da Liberdade it’s full of shops, old buildings, monuments and gardens. Then, you will arrive at Restauradores Square with its large obelisk. This a good place to eat typical Portugese food. After your lunch, you can go to Praça da Figueira and Praça do Comércio.

2. Belém

This area used to be the harbour and departure point of all the Portuguese ships in Discoveries Era. You can walk along the Tage and reach the Torre de Belém and watch the sunset at Padrão dos Descobrimentos while eating a pastas de natas

3. Life night in Lisbon

If you want to listen “fado” music while having an impressive view of the Tagus River and of its port, you have to go to the Alfama neighbourhood.

If you prefer dancing and a pub crawl sounds fun, then the Bairro Alto is the place to be !

4. Sintra

Sintra is 30 minutes away by train from Lisbon.

Tralevers visit first the Palácio Nacional, the historic centre, the Castelo dos Mouros and finally the Palacio da Pena. This order is often followed as it is the route of the 434 tourist bus. This route includes the main sights of Sintra in a single day . For a funny return, take a tuk tuk.
