5 tips on staying active while not working

Home office is now mandatory for most employees around the world, and some companies have even decided to lay off during this difficult time. The same applies to us here at Multilingual Jobs Worldwide, so we thought we would share some tips on what to do at home!

  • 1st advice: wake-up (quite) early and get productive!

No need to wake up at 6 o’clock because nobody except Elisabeth (our recruiter) likes this. We do however recommend putting a routine in place. If you are still working, create an office space in your flat and devote specific hours every day to working. Shut off distractions and keep fixed breaks as you would do at work.

  • 2nd advice: clean your space

Working or not, it’s now mandatory that you stay inside to contain the virus. A clean environment = a clean mind (and a better mood!). Make your bed, vacuum, and maybe clean the storage room that you never had time to tidy before, you will feel more productive.

  • 3rd advice: physical activity

Not everybody has the chance to have a big house with a garden, but who needs that anyway. You can do miracles with a towel and some water bottles! Rip open those windows and get that heart rate pumping! Your body, mind and concentration levels will thank you later.

  • 4th advice: use this time to learn something new

Now that you have some free time, why not learning something new? We would recommend you to read books you’ve got for Christmas or simply to use Skillshare: https://join.skillshare.com/jan2020-general/?coupon=google2free&utm_source=Google&utm_medium=paidsearch&utm_campaign=Brand_DK_PL_SE_NL_NO_2Free&utm_term=skillshare&matchtype=e&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjcfzBRCHARIsAO-1_OoSWLBcRfrzWHmiRikCx7qGaqcEYVl84cwn7El8QbA5sX1w8DHqkSoaAkLCEALw_wcB

This website gives you access to different classes online to stay productive and to learn something new every day for free (for 2 months) !

  • 5th advice: Relax!

Take some time for yourself and relax, watch a movie, bake some cakes and spend some quality time with the person you are in quarantine with!

We wish you a good quarantine!
